North Harbour Synchronised Swimming Club is a small and friendly club. It is affiliated to the national governance body, Synchro Swim New Zealand and a member of North Harbour Sport. It is one of many clubs in New Zealand.
Our swimmers are spread out across the Auckland region. They are all competitive but fun loving. The younger swimmers look up to the older ones and the older ones always make sure they are the role models during training sessions or competition period.
The youngest recommended age for the new synchro swimmer is 7. It is also recommended that a new swimmer should be able to swim a minimum of one standard length, without stopping, of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. Above all, every new swimmer obviously needs to be comfortable in deep water.
The club objective is to create a friendly and well structured environment and promote ongoing competence for our swimmers while they work toward NZ Nationals, Australian Nationals, Oceania and World Champs, Commonwealth and Olympic Games.
The club is currently operating at Glenfield Leisure Centre. The training sessions are aligned with the school term time.
